Four people carving grove sensitive melodies that contort, flex and flounder whilst they cement themselves firmly in the brain, Night Engine are something of a rare find. Describing themselves as ‘the music of the city’ their infectious, sometimes demonically euphoric, sometimes demonically dark perfectly encapsulates the relationship a person has with their city and a city has with a person. Hook happy tunes, New Romantic made good (can I coin nu-Romantic as a genre?) they have dragged the best of the 1980s pop scene into the new millennium, having lost none of its magic on the way. Rock music with funk and a beat. I like.
Their double single ‘Give Me A Chance/Young & Carefree‘ by Night Engine is released on 27 May 2013 via Demand Vinyl.
