Thankfully it is one that Natalie McCool steps up to, her pop tunes pounding along with a childlike bounce as well as a womanly writhe. On Oh Danger the chirpyness of the vocals hides the bruises inflicted on her journey of discovery, and the fresh and flirtatious syncopation is interwoven with darker tapestries of life. Yeah Chris Martin likes her, but don’t let that put you off. Her stellar songwriting skills and talent for a tune would set her up for success anyway.
