Moody and dark, it still has instant catchiness. Using the age old tricks of call and response, although this time between the thick guitar reverb and wistful female vocals, it doesn’t so much seethe in its moodiness but storms and snaps. The Australian three piece – Teneil Throssell (vocals/guitar), Ash Moss (bass) and Luke Richardson (drums) – seem to be part of a new wave of ‘down under’ in mood music happening ‘down under.’ Intense and rich, the hypnotic swirls lure you in to a haunting yet warming fug of a tune.
