Once a jazz drummer, he moved to Oakland, California with a dream of a guitar project, but with one potential barrier – he didn’t know how to play it. A fast learner, the output of his endeavours was the debut EP Headcase, a nostalgic piece of hazy brilliance, somewhat breezy and singular, and recorded on a reel-to-reel. Lead track You Are Who You Are has a sultry autumnal vibe to lure you in, even as winter crisps over.
