In his signature enigmatic style, Father John Misty has delivered the video for Things It Would Have Been Helpful to Know Before the Revolution, one of the stand out tunes from latest album Pure Comedy. Directed by Chris Hopewell and recorded in only three weeks, the video lends a tongue in cheek vibe to the heavy stark reality that the song describes. Grandiose, as expected, there’s also a vulnerability in tone and content. Puppets from the video will be auctioned off from August 3rd – 13th and the proceeds will be donated to the Environmental Defense Fund. “Father John Misty’s new video is a powerful statement — a postcard from a world we never want to visit,” said Eric Pooley, Senior Vice President at Environmental Defense Fund.

One of eleven love letters to his wife on the same titled album released earlier this year, I Love You, Honeybear will be a magical moment at during the Fleet Foxes’ frontman’s festival appearances this summer.
