Sweet cereal, creamy milk, runny eggs, crispy toast, crunchy bacon, salty marmite, salty salmon, grilled tomatoes, melted butter, fresh fruit, hot coffee… Thankfully someone decided that you could eat breakfast in the afternoon as well, and came up with the handy name of brunch to describe this merging of the two meals. Then people realised that as well as being a great cure for the night before, it was the perfect accompaniment to even more joviality of the alcohol infused variety. And so now we have glam all day brunches, where bacon and booze mingle with dancing and banter.
This summer, Absolut Elyx hosts a series of summer Love Brunch day time parties at London’s Kensington Roof Gardens. ‘Unmissable’ events they promise, and as London’s original brunch soirée, launched back in 2009, they know their stuff. The infamous parties take place between 12-6pm with Love Brunch serving up their signature Saturday filled with dining, dancing and drinking. With an ongoing summer programme of events, Love Brunch will offer the discerning party goer an afternoon of entertainment with special surprise guest DJs, the finest foods, specially created vodka cocktails by Absolut Elyx and champagne from Perrier-Jouët.
