Chapel Club used to make glimmering indie tunes, drenched in slow synths, direct and demonic, a la All The Eastern Girls. On new album Good Together they continue to make glorious sounds, now with a healthy dose of beats, crammed to the gills with energetic funk, draped in thrills, confidently brandishing their own unique take on exhilarating guitar pop laden in synths and rhythms. Title track Good Together lyrically traverses that squirmy state between love and hate, but its main message is simple – get the fuck up and dance. Done.
