A kitsch little tune trying to make sense of the tricks lovers play, Little Games is a slice of pop hat thrums somewhere on the boundary of beauty and menace, its pounding rhythms layered amongst gently quivering guitars like layers of sediment fusing together, and the gentle repetition of Jennie Morris’ bittersweet vocals make this an intoxicating intro to Swansea quartet The Adelines. As you may expect from any band signed to the ultra hip Kissability Records their music is never quite what you anticipate, and all the better for it.
