Next weekend Battersea Power Station will be host to thousands of people getting messy, sweaty, dizzy, and happy, as part of Holi One. Inspired by the Hindu festival Holi, a celebration of colour, organisers Colour Festivals have travelled around the world to Germany, the USA and Singapore to encourage people to let go and celebrate being part of a community. Dressed in white, ready to be the canvas for brightly coloured powder that will fill the air every hour, crowds will come together to share in music, dance, performance art and visual stimulation. DJs on the day include Florian Kunicke, So Called Scumbugs, Time Cullen, Good Luck and Ben We. The organisers promise a day of ‘exhilarating experience, vibrant energy and mischievous behaviour,’ which sounds like a damn fine way to spend your weekend. Tickets are available here.
