Manchester based Julia Bardo has released her latest single Please Don’t Tell Me, a gentle and flickering slice of chilled pop, an anthem of individuality sung over steady guitars and melodic temple blocks. Jangly melodies shimmer under chirpy vocals, and happy sounding choruses.
Of the song, Bardo explains: ‘Please Don’t Tell Me is about being yourself and thinking with your own head. It’s about looking in the mirror and recognizing what you see. It can be very challenging to be an artist these days—there’s so much music in the world, so many musicians and so many outlets for them to share their work. Sometimes it’s hard to focus on your own thing.’
